Montreal, January 25, 2016 – In December of 2015, Laserfiche awarded Cégep à distance’s Exam Digitization and Online Grading Project (Collège de Rosemont) with the Run Smarter® Award for Best Case Management Initiative.

Ahmed Akrour, a Coordinator from the Information Resources Department, travelled to California to receive the award. 2700 Laserfiche users from around the world attended the meeting, and awards were given to 25 organizations that used Laserfiche in ingenious ways, including Cégep à distance.

The organizers presented Version 10 of the software. It includes several improvements that will soon be available for use by Cégep à distance’s tutors. In addition to being more efficient, the new version will improve the user experience for the tutors.

Cégep à distance is an integral part of the Collège de Rosemont, offering programs in French that lead to a diploma of college studies (DCS/DEC) or an attestation of college studies (ACS/AEC). Some courses are also offered in English. Every year, around 17,000 people register for one or more of the 140 credit courses offered in French and English, for a total of 27,000 course registrations. All courses are offered any time of year thanks to Cégep à distance’s continuous intake model.
