Four Student-athletes from Cégep à distance Shine at the Pan Am Games

Montréal, July 28, 2015 – Cégep à distance congratulates Marko Medjugorac and Pierre-Luc Thériault who won the bronze medal in the Table Tennis Team Competition; Pierre-Luc Thériault also finished fifth in Singles. Pierre-Luc Poulin placed fourth in the K4 1000m Canoeing Flat event, while Christopher Fiola placed eighth in the Roller Sports Speed Skating 200m Time Trial and in the 500m.

We are very proud to have at our cégep these students who have shown so much perseverance and dedication to hard work. Their success at the Pan Am Games attests to their capacity to excel both at school and in sport.

Cégep à distance is a proud affiliate member of the Alliance Sport-Études. The Alliance works with its member CEGEPs to offer academic oversight and organization to student-athletes. In partnership with Cégep à distance, it coordinates distance education needs and the recognition of acquired competencies in physical education.

Cégep à distance is an integral part of the Collège de Rosemont, offering programs in French that lead to a diploma of college studies (DCS/DEC) or an attestation of college studies (ACS/AEC). Some courses are also offered in English. Every year, some 17,000 people register for one or more of the 140 credit courses offered in French and English, for a total of 27,000 course registrations. All courses are offered in the continuous registration model.
